At Verticon 2026 in Atlanta, Robinson Helicopter Company unveiled the new R44 Utility trim:
a version of the world's best-selling piston helicopter designed for the toughest operations, those carried out in dirty, remote and high-utilisation environments.
This is not a cosmetic restyling but an engineering answer to a concrete request from the operators who fly the aircraft every day.

The substantive difference of the Utility trim lies in replacing the main traditional fabric coverings with materials built to last and to be cleaned easily.
The fabric headliner gives way to a textured TitanPlate coating, abrasion-resistant and engineered to withstand extreme conditions and doors-off flight.
Standard carpeting is replaced by lightweight rubberised floor mats, fully removable and washable: mud and debris can simply be sprayed away, with no complex disassembly.
Inside, materials designed for intensive use are fitted throughout.
The changes are not confined to the cabin.
On the exterior, the trim debuts a Khaki livery accented by a Sherwood Green stripe, and comes standard with LED landing and taxi lights with pulse function, designed to improve visibility and safety in the most isolated landing zones.
